Instructions:

1. Cut out the egg carton “cups”. Each tulip will take 2 cups. The cups generally make 4 petals. Each will need to be cut, wedged and rounded to make look like the flower petals.

2. For the inside part of the flower cut a wedge in the bottom of the egg cup.

3. Take the wedged cup and fold it over and hot glue it in place, then hot glue it inside and at the bottom of the outside petal cup.

4. For each tulip petal pair, paint them with one of the tulip colors.

5. Make a hole in bottom of each cup piece using a nail or other sharp object. This will allow the skewer stem to be inserted. Put a bead of hot glue on the bottom and insert the skewer stick.

6. Using green cardstock (painted or purchased), cut out 2 leaf shapes per tulip with the bottom of the leaf skinnier than the top. (see photo for shape).

7. Fold leaves in half and hot glue the leaves to the lower part of the stem.

8. For display, stick stems in dry floral foam and/or add to a small metal can or cup.
